The McKinney Ice Hockey Club is proud to announce that defenseman Taylor Lewis has signed a tender agreement with the Sheridan Hawks of the North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) today, April 16, 2025. This signing represents a significant step in Taylor's hockey career and highlights the development pathway our program strives to create for student-athletes.
Taylor Lewis, who wears #91 for the McKinney Ice Hockey Club's Varsity Gold team, has been a stalwart defenseman throughout the 2024-2025 season. As a key member of our defensive corps, Taylor has demonstrated the skills, work ethic, and character that have caught the attention of junior hockey scouts.
In addition to his time with McKinney Ice Hockey Club, Taylor also gained valuable experience competing with the Texas Tigers 18U AA travel hockey program.

The McKinney Ice Hockey Club is proud to announce that forward and team captain Nicholas Carey has signed a tender agreement with the New Jersey Titans of the North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL). This milestone highlights both Nick’s personal achievements and the development opportunities provided by our club for student-athletes aiming to advance to junior hockey.
Nicholas Carey has been a standout forward for McKinney, wearing #27 and serving as a leader on and off the ice. In the 2024-2025 AT&T Metroplex High School Hockey League Varsity Gold Division, Nick ranked among the league’s top performers, recording 20 goals and 16 assists for 36 points in 21 games, placing him in the top five for both goals and total points in the division. His offensive production and leadership were instrumental in McKinney’s state championship run, including scoring the overtime game-winning goal in the Texas State Championship to secure a 2-1 victory over Keller.
Over the course of his high school and 18U AA career, Nick has consistently demonstrated high-level skill and playmaking ability. According to Elite Prospects, he posted 8 goals and 10 assists for 18 points in 15 USHS-TX games, and 6 goals and 11 assists for 17 points in 20 18U AA games during the 2023-24 season. His all-around game, competitive drive, and commitment to excellence have made him a key contributor at every level.
