Optional Registration Protection (Crossbar) During registration, participants may have the option to purchase Registration Protection offered through the Crossbar registration platform. This optional coverage is designed to provide reimbursement for eligible registration fees if a participant is unable to attend due to certain covered circumstances, subject to the terms, conditions, exclusions, and claim requirements of the insurance provider. The purchase of Registration Protection is entirely optional and is offered directly through Crossbar and its third-party insurance provider during the registration process. The Club does not determine eligibility, process claims, approve or deny reimbursements, or interpret policy terms. Participants who elect not to purchase Registration Protection remain subject to the McKinney Ice Hockey Club Refund Policy outlined above.
Fall 2026 - 2027 Tryouts
Tryout fees are nonrefundable once paid, except if MIHC cancels the tryout and does not reschedule it or approves an exception in writing. Fees cover ice time, administration, evaluators, and related expenses, so no refunds will be issued for schedule conflicts, illness, injury, voluntary withdrawal, failure to attend, or a player not being selected. Team placement is not guaranteed, and all players are evaluated at MIHC’s sole discretion. Any refund request must be submitted in writing within seven days of the tryout date.
Summer 2026 Season
McKinney Ice Hockey Club (“MIHC”) is a Texas 501(c)(3) youth sports organization, and all refund requests are reviewed individually at the discretion of the MIHC Board. Refunds, if approved, may be partial and are based on timing of withdrawal and costs already incurred (such as ice, league, and administrative fees), and certain items (USA Hockey fees, league fees, uniforms/merchandise, and processing fees) are generally non‑refundable. No refunds are typically given for voluntary withdrawals after deadlines, dismissals for disciplinary reasons, or missed sessions. Any loaned equipment must be returned and all balances paid before an approved refund is processed.
